Pintora y Licenciada en Bellas Artes por la Universidad de Barcelona. Ha participado en numerosos cursos y experiencias de tipo artístico y literario, así como talleres con pintores de la talla de Lucio Muńoz y Rafael Canogar. Trabaja el “Libro de Artista” participando en exposiciones y ferias internacionales. Es fundadora de la “Escuela del Sol” , experiencia multidisciplinar para la divulgación del Arte, la Ciencia y la Espiritualidad”. También crea el sello editorial”Hara” de obra gráfica. Ha realizado numerosas exposiciones, catálogos e ilustración de libros. Cuenta, además con un equipo de colaboradores para la organización y materialización de sus ideas. Su obra es una reflexión de la isla como metáfora del paraíso, y con ello participa en en la exposición “Hespérides”-Gobierno de Canarias,2000- y hace la exposición individual “Arqueología del Jardín” Actualmente trabaja el tema de Arte y Naturaleza: “ Jardín de dos Orillas” , proyecto que le lleva a realizar piezas de escultura y pintura en Canarias, Francia, Holanda , Alemania y recientemente, Japón, donde Celebra la Vida y el Arte con el Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi, artista que ha recibido importantes honorificaciones como “Tesoro Viviente” por ser guardián de la Tradición en su cultura. Rufina Santana comparte su residencia entre Lanzarote y Madrid. Y es, por todo ello, incansable viajera hasta aquellos lugares que pueden ofrecerle respuestas a las cuestiones que su arte le plantea. ..................................................................................... RUFINA SANTANA: Painter, holds a degree in Art from the University of Barcelona. She has participated in many courses and artistic and literary experiences, as well as workshops with painters such as Lucio Muńoz and Rafael Conogar. She is working on “The Book of the Artist” and participate at internationals exhibitions and fairs. Rufina Santana is founder of the “School of the Sun”, a multidisciplinar experience for Art, Science and Spirituality. She has also created the editing label “Hara” for graphic, done many exhibits and edited many catalogs and books ilustrations. The artist is working together with a precious team of colaborators to organize and materialize her ideeas. Her work is a reflection of the Island, like a metaphore of the Paradise and because of that, she is participating at the exhibit “Hespérides”- Government of the Canary Islands 2000 – and doing the individual exhibition “The archaeology of a garden”. At the moment, the artist is working on the project “Art and Nature” - “The Garden of the two sea-shores”. Thanks to this project she realizes paintings and scultures in the Canary Islands, in Germany and in Japan. In Japan Rufina Santana is working together with Mr. Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi, an artist who received many awards like “The living treasure” for keeping alive the tradition in he´s culture. Rufina Santana is living between Lanzarote and Madrid. Because of that, she is a “never tired” traveler until that place, which can offer answers to the questions posed from her Art. e Barcelona.
